This website is intended as a basic portfolio tool to exhibit who I am and what little work I have done while in the Media and Mass Comm graduate program. It's also an attempt at a passing grade in Dr. K's Digital Media course...

William Price Lowry IV

My name is William Lowry, I'm currently enrolled as a graduate student at Texas Tech University in the Media and Mass Communications graduate program.

I was born in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1989 and moved to Austin before my second birthday where I lived until 2008. In 2008 I graduated from Austin High School and went on to attend the University of Alabama where I earned my bachelors degree in history and political science.

Following graduation from Alabama I moved back to Austin and began working odd jobs including stint as a full time as a bartender and waiter while I tried to figure out what kind of career I wanted to persue. After a year of "figuring it out" I decided to attend graduate school and moved to Lubbock.

Why I'm Here...

In late April, 2011 I was a part of the deadliest tornado to ever strike the state of Alabama. I was blessed enough to walk away from a badly damaged home unhurt but the wreckage and devastation that surrounded me has remained in my heart and will forever be a part of who I am. Since that day I have strived to live my life to its fullest, drinking in every waking moment as an experience, always trying to do the right thing and never taking the people in my life for granted.

As things happen in life we're better off rolling with the punches than fighting it. Being successful doesn't mean never failing, it simply means that a failure isn't a failure if you learn from it. If we all live with this in our hearts- always trying to be the best versions of ourselves- we can never fail. Clear eyes, full hearts.

"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion;respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life."
